OK, this has to be the best camera on the planet! I am sooooooooooo excited!! This camera is simply AMAZING! In case you're wondering, Nikon has come out with a new batch of cameras and I decided to buy one. This camera is blazing fast and the colors are just awesome! I haven't had it long, so I haven't had much time to play, but with this full-frame sensor, I'm finding that a bunch of my old lenses have now become like new toys! Yay! It's so exciting!
To celebrate, here's a cute cute cute picture of Hildy, taken with my very wide 20mm lens, which I haven't used in YEARS! Isn't she just adorable??? Who wouldn't want to smooch this puppy??!

Rainy Howie
Despite the misty rain today, Howie insisted in sitting right out in it. Not sure if you can make out all the mist in his fur. It makes him look a little grey when in actuality he's pitch black. But he certainly didn't seem to mind being wet, and even tolerated a toweling-off when he came in. Silly kitty.

Major cuteness
OK, who doesn't love a cat in a box? In the middle of album designing this morning, Howie decided to be extra cute, so I thought I'd share since he's usually not too into being photographed. The dog never sits still long enough for me to get a non-motion shot, so today it's Howie only.

I am so excited to announce my new website! I think it looks awesome, if I do say so myself!! Check it out: www.kisofotografia.com and let me know what you think!
The client galleries all work the same so there should be no interruption in service there! Just gigantic images, probably 98% of which are new. Yay!!! I can't wait for everyone to see it!

Mmmmm Cake
Yesterday, I attended the Fabulous Food Show in Cleveland sponsored by the Food Network. Why? Because I like food! There were some yummy things to eat at the show, but I was totally blown away by the display of cakes made by the White Flower Cake Shoppe, located in Beachwood, Ohio. I know that's pretty far away to get a cake for a Columbus wedding, but you should check it out nonetheless. I'm attaching a few shots I took of the amazing cakes!!
It's almost hard to believe that this is a cake and not a stack of boxes!
I absolutely loved this cake. Notice how the design goes right down onto the plate!
More amazing cakes!
Yum, yum!

Gina and Dave
October 27 was the fabulous wedding of Gina and Dave. All the festivities took place at Confluence Park and, despite the weather, we had a great time and were even able to get outdoors for some quick portraits. Everything was just lovely and everyone had a blast dancing at the reception, even me!!
Here are a few of my many favorites from their day:
I loved this shot of Gina, her mom and her sister in the getting-ready room!
You can see mom in the background with the bib - she was mere seconds too late!
They look so happy!!!
Meat heatlamps are a great source for dramatic lighting!!
A touching moment with Dave and his mom.
The dancing was awesome, from Gina and Dave's first dance through the whole rest of the party!
The DJ had a great light kit and I loved playing around to get the best colors!
Congratulations, Gina and Dave!

Megan and Nik
Hocking Hills provided an amazingly gorgeous backdrop to the pictures I made for Megan and Nik. It was a lovely drive down there and we had a great time getting to know each other better. But man o man, check out this light! The best light ever! Afterward, we stopped at the Arch in the Arena District to cap off our fun afternoon, and the gorgeous light continued! Yay!
Here are a few that I love:

Adriann and Reid
It was a fabulous start to the week shooting Adriann and Reid's engagement session at Franklin Park Conservatory. As with lots of places where I'm privileged to photograph multiple times, the personal challenge to me was to make some fantastic images in different nooks and crannies of the park. Success! We toured the south side of the park and hit all kinds of great places I'd never been, and, in the process, we made some phenomenal images! Of course, we had to play with the leaves!!

Happy Anniversary, Jackie and Jay!
Even though I'm a week late, I want to wish a very Happy Anniversary to Jackie and Jay, who were married on October 21, 2006 in Avon Lake, Ohio. We had a great time photographing their very fall wedding - we had great leaf color and lots of pumpkin-y details! Here are a few of my favorites to commemorate their day:
I love how Jackie's slanting into the wind mimics the slant of the tree in the background:
These tiny pumpkins are on top of the chocolate-frosted cake, a first for me!
And I love this shot taken during the cocktail hour. I just find a lot of humor in this!
Congratulations, Jackie and Jay!

Amanda and Adam
Sunday was a great day for walking around German Village taking pictures with Amanda and Adam. We found the requisite leaf pile and jumped in, so all was good! We also went to Frank Fetch Park, where I shot Nancy and Mike's wedding the week before. Such a nice little sanctuary in the middle of the city!

Nikki and Nathan
Dawes Arboretum near Newark made a beautiful setting for Nikki and Nathan's engagement session. We had a lot of fun and the fall color there was just gorgeous! I'm on a leaf kick, so if there are leaves and we're doing a shoot, you can bet you'll be right down in them! Here are a few of my favorite shots from their session (especially the corn shot - I was hoping to find a cornfield and we lucked out!):

Nancy and Mike
On Saturday, I photographed the intimate wedding ceremony of my friend Nancy to her fiance Mike. First off, I want to say how honored I was to be part of their very special day, as I am with all of my brides and grooms, but for my friend Nancy it was even more special. Nancy is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, without a doubt. I could not be happier for her and Mike as they embark on this new journey in their lives.
As I said, it was an intimate ceremony, with only family and a couple close friends. We started at Nancy and Mike's house in German Village. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Frank Fetch Park on Beck St., then afterward we walked to Lindey's, where they enjoyed beautiful speeches given by Nancy's daughters and a sumptuous meal.
Here are a few of my many favorites from their day:
Congratulations, Nancy and Mike!!
