Murray, my ordinarily fluffy long-haired kitty, has been shaved like this for a week now and I still can't stop laughing. He looks like a cartoon character. It took him about a day to get used to not having so much hair, but it took him right back to his not-so-long-ago days of little kittenhood and he's rediscovered all the things he used to like to get into but had grown too fluffy to manage, much to my chagrin. All the old things he'd mess with that he'd literally outgrown are now fresh and new and very enticing to him, like winding his way through all the items on my nightstand, which invariably ends up with him knocking over my water glass onto whatever library book happens to be on the floor by the bed. It's like having a new kitten all over again.
Oh well, he's too cute and funny to be mad at for too long.
Here is my favorite shot of him to date. This picture makes me laugh and laugh. That tail just cracks me up.

Alysse and Jerrod - Columbus, Ohio engagement
Alysse and Jerrod came to me through Emily and Don, whose wedding I photographed in February of 2009. Alysse and Emily are best friends and I'm really looking forward to seeing Emily again and to photographing what I know is going to be one really fun day for Alysse and Jerrod. So, in anticipation of their wedding, we spent some time around Lewis Center making some engagement images for them. Have a look.

Sara and Stephanie - Columbus, Ohio wedding
A week ago Saturday's 10-minute sunshine fake-out followed by cloudy downpour at Glen Echo park was the setting for Sara and Stephanie's morning wedding. I've not photographed a wedding while being drenched with rain before, but I have to say I kind of liked it since it was out of the norm. It was made all the more OK by not only the colorful umbrellas but most especially because of the loving and heartfelt vows Sara and Stephanie offered to each other. There wasn't a dry eye (or a dry anything else) in the house. We followed the ceremony with some portraits and a lovely party at Sara and Stephanie's house.
Please enjoy some pictures.

The Jackson Family - New Albany portraits
The day after Karen and Michael's wedding, I got to spend some time with Sarah and Rick and their son Chase, who I photographed last summer, at Rick's parents' home in New Albany with Rick's parents and brothers. It was a fun and relaxed portrait session that also included their cute-cute pooch Sadie. I'm a sucker for a cute pooch, for sure.
Here are some of my favorites from our session:

Karen and Michael - Christ Lutheran / Columbus Athenaeum
This past Saturday was the touching and emotional joining of Karen and Michael's families at Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley, followed by an early afternoon reception in the beautifully bright Hellenic Room at The Columbus Athenaeum. Their day was filled with lots of love and lots of cute and funny kids. Always a good combo.
Let's look at some pictures, shall we?
