Katie and Travis

I had a blast with Katie and Travis on Monday, shooting their engagement session in the Short North. As I told them upon my arrival, my personal challenge for their session was to shoot in locations I'd not used before. Sometimes it's easy to go to the same place because it has a lot to offer, but it's also sometimes easy to do the same things over and over, so I like to try to keep things fresh by looking through "new eyes", so to speak.

Anyway, we had a ball. They were so much fun to work with and we really had a great time making some beautiful photographs. Here are a few of my favorites:

My niece, Melissa

I recently had the pleasure of taking my niece Melissa's senior pictures. Hard to believe she's a senior in high school!! And WOW is she gorgeous! See for yourself:

Congratulations, Melissa!!

Suzi and Adam

August 11 was another hot, muggy day, but it didn't dampen any spirits or any of the great energy surrounding the wedding celebration of Suzi and Adam! We started the day with a typically gorgeous ceremony at St. Joseph Cathedral, arguably the most beautiful church we have here in Central Ohio. All 12 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, and Suzi and Adam's families were great troopers in the heat as we captured some great images at Franklin Park Conservatory. From there we went to the Hilton at Easton for a lovely reception, complete with beautiful details and heartfelt toasts. It was a beautiful day!

Here are a few of my many favorites:

We start with this amazing image from Melissa of Suzi hiding behind a wall of bridesmaids to get into the waiting room before walking down the aisle. Magical!

This is one of my favorite shots from the ceremony.

Guests, bestowing their blessing upon the couple.

Is this great light or what?!

It was stinkin' hot out and this image pretty much sums it up!

The cake detail was stunning!

Love this unique centerpiece!

Melissa caught this great moment during Suzi and Adam's first dance. Sweet!

The band totally rocked and the dance floor was packed all night. Love this behind-the-scenes shot!

Congratulations, Suzi and Adam!!

Happy Anniversary, Lindsay and Ben!

One year ago, Lindsay and Ben were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph Cathedral. We had a great time making some fabulous images there and at Franklin Park and Crowne Plaza, the site of their reception. I was also lucky to meet AnnaMaria and Chris there, whose wedding I just photographed on July 28!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from Lindsay and Ben's wedding:

AnnaMaria and Chris

July 28 was hot and steamy, but it was a great day for AnnaMaria and Chris' wedding at St. Andrews in Arlington. The ceremony was beautiful and AnnaMaria was gorgeous in her mother-in-law's veil. We followed the ceremony with pictures at Franklin Park Conservatory, then on to Brookside Country Club for a fabulous reception.

Awwww, that's so sweet!!

I just have to share the sweetest gift I received from my very special clients, Scott and Jess. At their wedding, there was a reading of the most adorable poem I've ever heard at a wedding, I Like You by Sandol Stoddard Warburg. If you ever have a chance to read this, it's a must! After the wedding, I commented to Jess about how much I enjoyed the poem, and she sent me a copy of the book along with the nicest note! Here's a picture:

What a thoughtful gesture! I'm so lucky to have the most wonderful people to work with!!

Thanks, Jess and Scott!

Happy Anniversary, Katie and Aaron!

August 5 marked the one-year anniversary of Katie and Aaron, who were married in the beautiful chapel at Denison University. Their reception followed at Cherry Valley in Newark and, even though it was blazing hot outside, we had a fabulous time and got some super images. Here are just a few of my favorites:
