Happy Anniversary, Jackie and Jay!

Even though I'm a week late, I want to wish a very Happy Anniversary to Jackie and Jay, who were married on October 21, 2006 in Avon Lake, Ohio. We had a great time photographing their very fall wedding - we had great leaf color and lots of pumpkin-y details! Here are a few of my favorites to commemorate their day:

I love how Jackie's slanting into the wind mimics the slant of the tree in the background:

These tiny pumpkins are on top of the chocolate-frosted cake, a first for me!

And I love this shot taken during the cocktail hour. I just find a lot of humor in this!

Congratulations, Jackie and Jay!

Amanda and Adam

Sunday was a great day for walking around German Village taking pictures with Amanda and Adam. We found the requisite leaf pile and jumped in, so all was good! We also went to Frank Fetch Park, where I shot Nancy and Mike's wedding the week before. Such a nice little sanctuary in the middle of the city!

Nikki and Nathan

Dawes Arboretum near Newark made a beautiful setting for Nikki and Nathan's engagement session. We had a lot of fun and the fall color there was just gorgeous! I'm on a leaf kick, so if there are leaves and we're doing a shoot, you can bet you'll be right down in them! Here are a few of my favorite shots from their session (especially the corn shot - I was hoping to find a cornfield and we lucked out!):

Nancy and Mike

On Saturday, I photographed the intimate wedding ceremony of my friend Nancy to her fiance Mike. First off, I want to say how honored I was to be part of their very special day, as I am with all of my brides and grooms, but for my friend Nancy it was even more special. Nancy is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, without a doubt. I could not be happier for her and Mike as they embark on this new journey in their lives.

As I said, it was an intimate ceremony, with only family and a couple close friends. We started at Nancy and Mike's house in German Village. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Frank Fetch Park on Beck St., then afterward we walked to Lindey's, where they enjoyed beautiful speeches given by Nancy's daughters and a sumptuous meal.

Here are a few of my many favorites from their day:

Congratulations, Nancy and Mike!!

Sarah and Karolyn

Last Sunday ended up being a totally gorgeous day for hanging out with friends and doing a really cool "rockstar" photo session! My friend Karolyn and her fabulous daughter Sarah met me at one of my favorite spots in the Arena District for some urban portraits. We just had a blast! Here are a few of my many favorites:

Tonja and Brad

I had just a really great time shooting Tonja and Brad's engagement session last Friday at Franklin Park Conservatory. I'd not met Brad before then and he was such a sweetie! It was very obvious that he and Tonja adore each other!! We had a really good time, and here are a few of my many favorite shots from their session:

Happy Anniversary, Chris and Chris!!

October 14 was the one-year anniversary for Chris and Chris, who are HUGE Buckeye fans and were married at Mirror Lake with the reception at The Blackwell Center. We had beautiful fall weather and lovely color in the trees, unlike this year so far.

True Buckeye fans will recognize this "pose"!!

This image was featured in the spring issue of Columbus Bride magazine!

Congratulations, Chris and Chris!!

Morgan and Seth

You might remember Morgan and Seth from their lovely engagement session at the cabin. Well, their wedding on September 29 was just as lovely. What a great couple with great families and friends! We had so much fun! They were married at Trinity United Methodist on Cambridge in Arlington. What gorgeous light in the sanctuary! We followed the ceremony with pictures at Goodale Park, then onto the reception at The Vault.

Here are a few of my many many favorites from their day:

The following two are from Melissa:

That's my flash going off in the aisle!

Morgan and Seth wrote their own vows, and it was only fitting that Morgan break out the squeegee to aid in her pre-vow story. Too funny!

Melissa got this great shot of the first dance:

Very sweet - Seth and his mom and Morgan and her dad:

Melissa got this great shot of Laura and Johnny, whose wedding I photographed back in 2005, and who sent Morgan and Seth my way. It was awesome seeing them again and very sweet of them to refer me!

Congratulations, Morgan and Seth!!!
