Dominic

Last Friday, I had the great pleasure of photographing Sarah and Michael's bundle of joy, Dominic. What a beautiful baby he is and so sweet! He'd just woken from a nap so he was wide awake for our entire session and we made some really beautiful pictures. You can just see all the love and how much Sarah and Michael adore Dominic. As always, I truly appreciate being welcomed into their home to document such momentous occasions, in this case just a day in the life of their new family. Here are a few of my many many favorites:

Megan and Elwood

Last week was the week for engagement sessions and family portraits and on Thursday I headed to Megan and Elwood's house for their engagement session. Turns out they live just around the corner from where I used to live in Victorian Village. They have a sweet pooch named Punky, so we included her in some of the shots. I love dogs and really loved Punky! What a sweetie! Anyway, from there we headed to the North Market where we made some great images and had a bite to eat, including ice cream!, then it was out and about in the Short North. A great time was had by all! Here are a few shots:

Kelly and Bo

Last Tuesday, I met up with Kelly and Bo in the Short North for their engagement session. We had beautiful weather and it was great spending time wandering around with them taking pictures. Kelly and Bo are great fun and have great energy together, which really shows in the pictures. Here are a few of my favorites from their session:

Kristen and Ben

As mentioned before, on Monday, Melissa and I headed up to Highbanks Metro Park with Kristen and Ben for their engagement session. We had a great time wandering around the park and playing with some lighting. Kristen and Ben were a lot of fun and we had a blast with them!

Here are a few of my many favorites from their session:

We're looking forward to shooting their wedding in June, for sure!

Dwinnell Family Portraits

Bethany came to me through Gina of Gina and Dave, whose wedding (http://kisofotografia.blogspot.com/2007/11/gina-and-dave.html) I photographed back in October of last year.

I liked Bethany instantly and was immediately captivated by Leah, Bethany and Kevin's daughter adopted from Vietnam. What a sweet, beautiful baby Leah is! So I was thrilled to be asked to photograph their family this past Sunday at their gorgeous Old Hilliard home.

We had great weather and Leah was just up from a nap so she was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! And Leah LOVES the camera!! What a joy it was spending time with Bethany, Kevin and Leah!

Here are a few images from their session. It was hard to choose, there were so many that I loved!!

This shot was taken through the slats of the basinette Bethany's father made. Gorgeous!

Thank you, again, Bethany, Kevin and Leah for inviting me into your lovely home to spend time with your family!

'Tis the season

It's that time of year again when we go hither and yon in search of the perfect engagement session location. Last night, Melissa and I went to Highbanks Metro Park with Kristen and Ben for a nice healthy walk and some fabulous pictures, which I'll post later this week. I decided, however, that posting this image was worth getting ahead of myself in my image processing order.

Even though we spent a couple hours touring this beautiful park, we nevertheless ended up shooting in the men's room where Melissa shot this of me shooting Kristen and Ben. I love this shot and am happy to have it! This kinda sums up the way I look at things, and that is that we can make fabulous images anywhere, even a men's room in a city park.

And the result:

. . . more to come

Happy Anniversary, Suzy and Brandon!

I'd like to wish a very happy anniversary to Suzy and Brandon, who were married one year ago yesterday in a ceremony held at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, with their reception at Confluence Park. I hope Suzy and Brandon had a wonderful anniversary!!

Tonja and Brad

My first wedding of the season was April 12 when I had the extreme pleasure of spending the day with Tonja and Brad and their wonderful families and friends. Laughter was the order of the day, and their images reflect all the joy that everyone shared. I started with Tonja having her hair done at her house, which was followed by the girls taking a limo to Champp's at Easton for appetizers and drinks called "One Night Stand". How hilarious is a "one night stand" on the way to the wedding, eh?!! The ceremony was held at Temple of Faith and the reception was at Monaco's. It was just a really great day and by the time I left I felt I was part of the family!

Here are a few of the many great ones we were honored to capture:

Can't you just feel Tonja's excitement??

Brad, after having just seen Tonja for the first time. I thought this was very touching.

See what I mean about the laughter?! The whole day was like this! It was awesome!

I love this grandma who would only smile when tickled!

Congratulations, Tonja and Brad! Thank you so much for choosing me to be part of your day!!
