Lindsay and Andrew - The Lakes Country Club wedding

Over Memorial Day weekend, Andrew and I had the pleasure of photographing the Jewish wedding celebration of Lindsay and Andrew, who actually live in Toronto. Aside from the weather being a virtual steam bath, we couldn't have asked for a lovelier day. I started with Lindsay and her bridesmaids at Studio Fovero, then it was on to The Lakes for the rest of the festivities. Myriam Solomon was the coordinator and, as always, a pure joy to work with, and the flowers by Flowers on Orchard Lane were simply stunning.

So, without further ado, here are lots and lots of pictures to enjoy:

Amy and Spencer - Columbus, Ohio wedding

Over the Labor Day weekend, Tracie and I had the great good fortune of spending the day with Amy and Spencer on their wedding day. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't have asked for better weather. We started at The Westin where everyone got ready, orchestrated Amy and Spencer's first look in the lovely lobby, then traipsed around town on a trolley for a fun portrait session followed by ice cream at Jeni's (only the world's best ice cream!). Amy and Spencer's ceremony was held at Franklin Park Conservatory, on the west terrace, and the chuppah was absolutely beautiful, constructed from twigs and branches. After the ceremony, I followed Blue Skies Video around and shot in the periphery while they did their thing for Amy and Spencer's video. Then on to a fantastic party in the Palm House, where the hora was the best I've seen and almost got me knocked over a few times, but I loved being right in the middle of the fray. It was a very great day and I love the images we got, so here's a big sampling:

Snee. Rest in peace, little buddy.

Amy is definitely a natural in front of the camera.

I LOVE the look on Amy's face here as Spencer moves in for a big old bite of her ice cream.

My favorite image. I loved the intimacy and emotions of the ketubah signing and where Amy received her Hebrew name.

The group of people off to the right were actually photographers and their clients shooting an evening engagement session at Franklin Park, and stopped for a minute to watch us.

I have to say, for the record, that I LOVE the way Spencer has turned out his ankle in this shot. The portrait was actually set up by Blue Skies - this is when I was just tagging along - but the posing was all Spencer! He's so graceful and elegant here and reminds me of Fred Astaire.

"Time alone" (which means with me!) for their yichud. I love the series of images made during this time.

Notice they're making the same movement. That's what I love about this image.

Over the course of the year leading up to their wedding, Spencer learned the guitar so he could serenade his new wife at the reception.

OK, I've seen lots of things happen at a cake-cutting but never a fork to the eye.

You can see how Amy is steeling herself against what's about to happen.

Hilarious.

Congratulations, Amy and Spencer! Thanks so much for sharing your day with us!
